Friday Just Snuck Up On Me

I cannot believe that I totally forgot to make this post last night. I got side tracked watching TV, which is not something I usually do and then I overslept this morning. Oh well Better Late ...

Today is Friday Freebie over at Bugaboo and we have some great Santas for you. There is the image I used as the Freebie today and then 6 more to choose from in the shop.

I made my very first ever card sketch on the Computer today using a new to me programcalled My Memories Suite. I'm trying it out and I can tell you that the few things I have tried (with no instructions and without watching the video) are impressive. This is an easy program to use. I look forward to working with this and shareing some fun projects with You. I am a hands on kind of girl but with this I have access to tons of papers and embelishments that I can print out. Oh my mind is all awhirl with ideas.

Okay so here is the card that I made using the sketch I made. I used papers by Daisy Bucket from last year. I colored the Santa with copics and Gelly Roll Metalic Pens.
Have a great day and I hope to see you all back here tomorrow for a fun challenge frpm Bugaboo.

Oldie But Goodies

Today is Oldie But Goodie Day over at Bugaboo and this is what I have to share with you.
The papers I used are from a paper pack from Cloud 9 and the piece behind Bessie is done with Sizzix embossing folder. The pointsetta is from a bunch from dollar store and designer paper. And of course the Image is from the Candy Cane Critters. You just have to go check these out. They all are so darn cute. I cut this adorable cow out and attached it to a plastic candy cane that came from a dollar store garland. You will be seeing a lot more dollar store accents in the next few weeks. If you have one close by it is a great source for little add ons. The sketch is this weeks Challenge # 125 from Friday Sketchers.

I will also be entering this card in the challenges at:
Paper Garden Projects: Holiday Cards
Wee Memories: Cute Holidays
Meljens Challenge # 30: Anything Goes
The Ribbon Girl: Color Challenge#2

Have a Great Day Everyone.

For A Cause Challenge

This month is Breast Cancer Awareness and we've all been seeing a lot of projects and Challenges out there. We at Bugaboo would like to Showcase Any and All that are near and dear to you. So for the Challenge this week at Bugaboo we ask you to make a card or project for your Cause.
I was amazed when one of the DT members posted a list of Ribbon Colors, just how many organizations and causes are out there. Thank you Joy and Rae Anne for passing that along and you can find that information HERE. I was even more amazed at how many have affected my life.
I chose the color Purple because as I read through the list of organizations I was all too familiar with quite a few. Like March of Dimes:Premature babies: my daughter was born at 6 months weighing 2lbs .5oz., My Mom suffers from Macular Degeneration, my auntie and another family member suffered from Alzheimers, a cousin with Fibromyligia, a nephew in-law with Crohn's Disease, I lost my Father and Uncle to Pancreatic Cancer.......and it goes on .
The rules are the same as always and the prizes are the regular 7(1st), 4(2nd) and 2(3rd).
Jodie. Owner of Bugaboo stamps has generously provided a wonderful opportunity for you to be able to give two wonderful causes and in return you get up to 14 free images images! That’s right for spending $20 on two very very important causes you get free images! Link in which you can get free images for donated to one of two causes, so please check the link out here!
And we have a special Sponsor this week and some lucky participant will win a set of skintone promarkers from Creative Craft World. Look below.
Go check out Creative Craft World and see all the great things they carry, and you may win these.

Don't forget to head over to Bugaboo Challenge Blog and check out all the great projects by the Design Team Members and the if you didn't get a chance to pick up your Friday Freebie Ribbon Bunnie and Bear run and do that now.

Anything But A Card

It is Anything But A Card day at Bugaboo and do you think I had fun with this or what. I just love what you can do with all the Images Jodie comes up with. I have to say I am enjoying Halloween more this year than ever.
For this first purse (pattern is by Becky Roberts at Inking Idaho) I used some fantastic paper that I picked up while at our LSS when I was standing in line waiting to sigh up for a class/workshop with Tim Holtz. (Just had to throw that in, I'll tell you all about it after the 6th of November.) Anyway Love this spiderweb paper. I used the images from the Goofy Halloween Cats Images and some wonderful ribbon for the handle that I picked up from a dollar bin somewhere. This is for my 11 year old granddaughter. I love these accordian flowers as a backdrop for the cat and that circle is the new Crown Nestie Circle that I bought Sat also. I put a very heavy layer of Crystal Effects on the cat.

For this adorable purse for my youngest Granddaughter I used the Halloween Bobbleheads Witch image and the ghost on the paper pad is from the Goofy Ghosts series.

Here is a close up of the little witch, I used pop ups to make her head stand up more.

I think the girls will really like these Halloween Treats.

I am also entering these in the
Pile It On Challenge this week : Kid Themed Halloween
Two Sisters Challenge Blog: Halloween
Stampin For The Weekend Challenge #49: Halloween/Fall
Creative Craft Challenge: Trick or Treat

And last but not least; here is one of my Pumpkin Girls for this year. Isn't she hot? Gotta love the eyelashes and the rhinestone necklas and earrings and the strand of faux pearls.

Have a great day and please come by tomorros to see the New Release from Bugaboo.

I used Basic Grey papers and some felt pieces and rhinestones to decorate this card. I just love these images. I think I'll send this to my Grandson. I think he will like the bat. I colored these with Copics.

My Favorite Day

This week at Bo Bunny the Layout Challenge of the Week is What is your Favorite Day? And Why? That is pretty easy for me. Friday is my favorite day because it is a Nana Day. ( that's what my granddaughter calls it anyway.) KayLynn is 5 and she started Kindergarten this year. I used to have her one or two days a week but the schedule now is Fridays after school for a few hours. Once in a while we work in a sleepover like the one last weekend.
I used the Flower Child line of Bo Bunny papers for this, some Tim Holtz Grunge board alphas a bird and flower cut out by Lettering Delights and some buttons. We had to stop by the store on the way home so we picked up some really cute jammie bottoms.
I used my Nestables to cut the circles that frame the photos and some of the flower pieces were from the the sheet of cutouts that go along with the paper line and then the rest of the layers were cut out by hand.

Aren't these flowers fantastic?

That little blue bird works perfectly with these colors.

The lettering was colored with distress inks and then I used some glimmermist that I mixed myself for the F and then traced over the swirls with a glitter pen.

I just love the bright colors.

Have a good Day!

Bo Bunny and Tiddly Inks

Today I have two different projects using Tiddly Inks Digi Stamps and Bo Bunny Paper. What a great combo, I hope you agree. This weeks Challenge #26 at Tiddly inks is make an ATC. I haven't made an ATC for a very long time and this just reminded me of how much fun it is. I will have to make more. I used Copics to color the image and then I used Stickles on the wings and a few other embelishments here an there. I used the Bo Bunny "Noel" line of paper for this. This is the Tuesday Card Challenge over at Bo Bunny this week. I just love this layout and you can find samples by the Bo Bunny DT Here.
I was so lucky to get my hands on these two new lines. I also bought Olivia while I was at my local scrapbooking store. This is the Winter Joy line. I cut the snowflakes with an SVG file from My Scrap Chick. The image is from Tiddly Inks. She has some wonderful Christmas Images in the Shop. I colored the buttons with Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks.

Have a wonderful evening. I hope you come back tomorrow and then again on Saturday for some special fun.

Another Sneak Peek.

Only two more sleeps and you will see what all the fuss is about. I sure hope you all come by on Saturday and Join The Design Team for some fun. You are so going to love this.

Have Fun and I hope you come back tomorrow for a great Friday Freebie.

Good Morning everyone. Well today is my first Challenge for Chi Chi Memories as a New Member of the Design Team. How cool is that. I feel very fortunate to have been asked to join the team and I will try to do a great job. There is a new Challenge at the Challenge Blog every other Thursday so I hope you will come on by and play.

Sunday was the New Release for October. You can see more images here and grab some for yourself. The set or individual images.
This is the Sketch for this weeks challenge. This is a fun one. I turned it and used some of the new images for this example.
I used a varity of papers from my stash along with some packaged flowers from K&Co. I colored the images with my Copics and used a lot of pop ups to give them some dimension. This so makes me want a carmel apple. Or a Fresh Apple Pie with ice cream. Yummmmmmm!

This is a card I made over the weekend to give to my sister for her Birthday. I used Doilys for the background and the cake plate. I used Crystal Effects for the bow and decorated the balloons with Stickles. This is the Birthday Girl Set (6 images) I hope you come back often to see all the new projects I will have to share with you. There is always something going on around here these days. And with Halloween and Thanksgiving and Christmas comeing I just get all giddy. I love the holidays.

I hope you all Have a good day!
