A new Challenge At Bugaboo

COMING SOON.... Only 14 more sleeps.

Well it is Saturday again. It seems like the last one was just yesterday. Anyway the older you get the faster time flies.  So today there is a New Challenge up at Bugaboo and the theme is
Holiday/Seasonal (4th of July/Summer). How easy is that?
The Design Team has some adorable cards to share over on the Bugaboo Challenge Blog so don't forget to check them out.
For my card today I used some of Jodies Stick Figures ( A Kids View Line). So many and oh so cute.
The papers I used are from an older paper stack from DCWV. I colored the image with Copics and oddly enough I did not add Stickles ore Glossy Effects. I must have been in a hury for some reason.

I used a lot of Dimensionals on this popping up all the little fussy cut pieces.
I couldn't resist adding this to the inside. Pretty cute hu?

Well I hope you have a great day and I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

For my TAG today I used Megan's Image #381 Isabella Fairy. Love this image.  The background of the card is made using Tim Holtz Distress Stains. I did a tutorial on my Blog last week . these are so much fun to work with . I colored the image with Copics and added some glitter and Glossy Glaze  and some bits and pieces from a great paper pad I picked up at Michaels or JoAnns called Antiquities by gcd studio.

A New Challenge At Bugaboo

Well this week the Challenge at Bugaboo is a really fun Recipe. We would like you to use some Twine, a Button or two or three and a Sentiment on the front. Easy huh? And if you need some inspiration head over to the Challenge Blog and take a look at the great projects by the DesignTeam.
For this card I used Stella-Summer Blocks. The papers are from a paper pack I picked up at Wall Mart. This is one of several new pads that I just Have to have. Love these bright summer colors.
So I managed to find a few buttons in my stash and I consider this twine, the green and white I used to tie the buttons with, and the Sentiment is built in.
The glare on her Crystal Effects covered glasses and martini glass is not as bad in this shot.
Well I do hope you will join us this week and I hope you have a great weekend.

Tutorial Wednesday At Bugaboo

Good Wednesday Morning all. Today is Tutorial Wednesday over at Bugaboo and I have a Great one for you. I think. I love the results. A little bit ago I too the Tim Holtz Chemestry 101 online class and this is one of the techniques highlighted in the class. It uses the Tim Holtz Distress Stains.  For the images I used Bugaboo's Beautiful Blocks.
So first off here is a little preview of what I did.
I don't have one of those neat beigh work mats for my work space but I have something that works just as well. I use Freezer paper (the shiney side) You just clean with a paper towel as you go. I made 6 of these from  12X12 pieces of chipboard covered with Freezer Paper to use in my classes.
Squeez out a puddle of Picket Fence Stain (this is the key ingredient) in the middle of the freezer paper and then add
your other color choices on the outside edges. You don't want to do too many or the results will get muddy looking.
Take your printed image and lay it face down and drag it through the stain, turn it over and see what you have. Drag, don't press it down. If there are white spaces, drag it again in those areas.
oops, this photo in the sequence isn't with an image. Once I get started on this stuff I tend to get carried away and have a ton of paper when I'm done. At this point you can use your heat gun to start drying it. Spray water onto the surface and see what it does. If you want more color pull it through again. Just remember to have a stack of paper handy so you can keep playing.

Here is another piece that I sprayed water onto the stain and pressed the paper on it and then added more stain to the freezer paper and pulled it through
This one is made using glossy paper.
I just kept adding layers until I had what I wanted.

The clear water sprayed on while you are using the heat tool makes some interesting patterns.

Here is the Image after staining it.
 It looks like lava.
I ended up spraying the image with Perfect Pearls Mist. Such a cool iridescent effect.
 Another image.
I sprayed the perfect pearls on this one too while it was still wet.
So here are the finished projects.

This is a card I made a while back, You can find it here, and I have been wanting to do this tutorial since then. I sprayed the image with Perfect Pearls and Goosebumps. So much fun.
Well I hope you will give this a try soon and let me know how you like it. Send me a link to your project.

So do head over to the Bugaboo Store and check out all the new releases just this month. Then head over to the Bugaboo Challenge Blog to see the great projects by the Design team.
So today for my card I used papers from a Colorbok pad that I picked up at Wall Mart. I colored the image with Copics and added some Glossy Glaze for accents. This would be a great Teacher card, don't you think.
This is a better shot of the image
I hope you all have a great week and just a little heads up. The Bugaboo Team is getting ready for our Christmas In July Celebrations and I hope you will join us. there will be lots of fun, and challenges and great prizes.

Have a Great Day!

Anything But A Card At Bugaboo

Monday is ABC Day at Bugaboo and today is my turn to share a project with you.
When I first saw these Monster Images from Jodie I thought I have to have these for my Grandson. So I was going to print a set and send them to him to color and then I thought well I can do better than that I will make him a color book. Look how stinkin cute this turned out.
So I colored the 3 headed Monster and Monster Pocket up with my Copics for the front of the book and the box of Crayons and added some Crystal Effects to the Eyes.  The papers for the Crayon Box are Basic Grey. There is a different pattern on the back and sides.
On the opposite side of each page I added a light colored piece of paper so he can name each Monster and write a little story. Okay he is just 4 so his Mom can write that.
So I hope you enjoyed this and just think of all the fun things you can do with these great Monsters, or any of Bugaboo's Images. Have a Great Day everyone.

Graduation Time At Pile It On

This week for the Challenge at Pile It On we would like to see you create a graduation project using you school colors. For most people I think that is pretty easy but for myself....I went to a different High School every year and I never really payed attention. Unfortunately for me high school was little more than social time. Once I got into college I was a much more serious student and got mostly A's. Weird. So I just picked Blue and Gold, I remember that from somewhere. It also could have been my kids school colors.
So for my card I used this adorable image from wonderful sponsor Digital Delights:

I used papers from a 6"X6"  Authentique pad. I used a ton of Rhinestones and  a few buttons as well as a key to the future.

 A close-up for you.

I will be entering the following Challenges:
Can You Digi It?: Button It Up
Craft Your Passion: Anything Goes
4 Crafty Chicks: Sketch
