Traditional Christmas Colors at Dilly Beans

The new challenge over at Dilly Beans is up and it should be a fun one for you all this week. We would love to see projects using Traditional Christmas Colors. What are those? you may ask. Well head over to the Dilly Beans Challenge blog and see what all the Design Team has come up with for you this week.
For my card this week I used one of  Megan's newer images, #515-Amilia Making a Snowman .
The papers are from a Recollections Stack, new this year, The Holiday Greeting is from a bag of table confetti from WallMart and I colored most of the image with Copics and the snowman wit Shimmering H2O's
You can see the linen texture of the image paper better here. It is still difficult to see how the iridescent watercolors look.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

A New Challenge At Bugaboo.

This week we have an insperation photo for you to use. I saw this and knew immediately which Bugaboo Image I wanted to use . Winter Birds-Scarf. Perfect!
Here is the photograph
And here is my project: I used papers by DCWV and colored the image with Copics and then added Stickles and some flocking. I mixed royal blue flock with royal blue glitter on the hat and scarf. White in those areas.
And a little close up for you.
I hope you all have a great weekend.

A Little Late

This has been a very busy day and it was filled doing some things for myself that I usually don't take time to do. Like have lunch with friends. Stopping by the 99cent store just to see if there was something I might need. Found some great snowflakes. Taking a nap and then catching up on Design work and finally at leas getting photos edited from my fun trip to the Tree Store with my sister yesterday.
So here is the page in the Christmas for Day 5.  This is on the backside of the acrylic piece for day4 (obviously) I love acrylic pages.
The ribbon wraps around and is held close with the cool paper clip
Then the little book opens up....
 and then opens again...
And again and again. Like an exploding box. Tons of room for tons of photos that I need to sit down and add.
 Like this...
I did get a lot of them edited and printed now I'm going to sit here , watch The Big Bang Theory and try to add them to the book.
That's Ali Darling amongst the forest of fake trees. Boy I was amazed at how real these things look these days. The one I would like to have is only $600.00  In my dreams!
There were trees just dripping with ornaments.

And every color you could think of . So Much Fun
We had a great time.
So here is Day 5 of the Advent Calendar
I think you can see it better in this view. It would be so much fun to have these filled with little gifts for my granddaughters. I'll have to give them each one next year.
I hope you all have a good evening.

Deck The Halls

Deck the Halls or not. I did not get any decking done yesterday. I was playing catch-up with Design Team and class work. But when I do get to the rest of the house decorations I will share them with you and I have a place in my 25 Days Book to show them off.
So for day four I used an acrylic page. These are always fun. And then I added a big ole pocket and made a little book to put in the pocket.
 Just pull it out and.....
Look at all the room for photos and journaling. pretty fun hu?
This is how it looks when the book is out. You can see through to page 5 and 6
I used a thick double sided tape to attach the pocket and then laid down reg double sided tape on the top side and added extra fine glitter. When I add photos to the little book I will share.
And here is day 4 of the Advent calendar.
You can see the details better in this photo.
Well today I'm off to teach an early class and then I'm going to pick up Sister Ali and go look at Christmas trees at the fake Christmas Tree Stores we have picked out and then lunch at Jim Boys Tacos.Woo Whoo!
Have a Fun Day everyone.

Day 3 Of Holiday Book

Well yesterday in my post I mentioned that I was going to finish Decorating the tree or die trying. Well I did not do either. I did try really hard but alas I fizzled out after lunch. But one big Rubbermaid box of Special Ornaments are on the tree and when I too photos I shot the side that looked most finished.
I'll keep working on it. So anyway the page for Day 3 looks like this.....
I'm really not finished with it but after tomorrow and my trip to another Christmas Tree Farm I will add the rest of the photos.

So I made this little accordion book.
There is so much room in these things.
And then I added these little tickets for journaling on the front and the back.
So here is the quick story. We used to go out and cut our Christmas Tree down every year when the kids were growing up. And it was so much fun. Picking out the perfect one, cutting it down and dragging it back to the car. Then putting it in the stand and getting our arms all itchy putting on the Lights. And all the while sipping on some eggnog with a lot of whiskey added. My favorite part.
Then one year we decided on a fake tree. I guess our first year here in our current house. That's 11 years now. Anyway Ali and I were talking last year about how we missed all that but now we have Christmas Tree Farms for the 21 Century. No fuss,no muss, no itchy arms. So we set out on an adventure to our new Hobby Lobby. It was a lot of fun. And tomorrow we have two other Stores that we are going to check out.
That's my little sister Alison and I.

Stop by Friday to see more photos of pretty Christmas trees.
Now for today's Advent Calendar; It was hard to get the light right this morning. I think it is because the paper on the cup is so light.
 Here is a better shot.
Have a wonderful day everyone.

New Release Tuesday At Bugaboo

Sorry this is late this morning. I don't know what I was thinking. okay I just wasn't. I totally forgot about this last night and then when I wake up these mornings it takes me almost a full pot of coffee before I start to fell like I can get it together. Stupid cold.
So today is new release Tuesday at Bugaboo and this is a cutie. You know this would also make a great pack of cocoa cover as a little gift for someone. I will have to try that.
The papers are Recollections(Michaels) I used a little glossy Effects on the candy cane and some Stickles here and there. The image is colored with Copics.
Here is a close-up for you.
So I hope everyone has a great day and don't forget about the 12 Days Of Gift Giving that is happening over at Bugaboo. Some great prizes up for grabs and some great ideas for gifts that you can make.

The 2nd Day of My Christmas Book

Well Day two was kind of a slow day at my house because I still feel so yucky from this cold. I got up at 4 am and worked at my desk for awhile and then crawled back in bed and slept for another hour. That was really nice because we had the most horrendous rain storm all morning. Sideways rain and lots of it. Once that was over it was time to get groceries and then home for another nap.
But I did get a Gift package ready for my daughter and finish up the ornaments for all of them so that is about all I had for the second day page of my book.
So these are the photos of the ornaments,
 for Logan
and for Holden. I made these using white cardboard snowflakes from the craftology section at Michaels and then I colored them using Distress Stains and added smaller snowflakes and Dilly Beans Images. I love them.
So here is the Day two of the Advent Calendar
and a close up. How much fun would this be for any age.
Off to finish up Decorating the tree for day three. I will get it finished or die trying.
Have a great day everyone.
