It's a Anni-VERVE-sary Hop kind of day

It is a VERVE Anni-VERVE-sary today. Welcome to my blog. If you just happened along you might want to start the hop over at http://vervestamps.blogspot.com/. And if you just came from Christi's Blog at http://cici510.blogspot.com/ you are in the right place. This is the first ever official Blog Hop. Verve turns two today and we are all celebrating with a Hop. And to make this a really great Hop there is a mystery Jackpot hidden at one of the stops along the way. One lucky commenter on that blog will win Verve's entire August release! But of course it wouldn't be a mystery if you knew which blog so if you're feeling the love, give a little shout out to the bloggers along the way.
And because it is George and My 27th wedding anniversary today I am offering a little gift to two lucky commenters here on my blog today. Some of my hand made flowers and altered papers. So leave those comments and you might be a winner. Check back here on Monday and I will announce the winners. The first card that I did today using Verve's Up, Up and Away stamp set is a multi fold card that they showcased over on Splitcoast Stampers last week. So much fun to make and really not that hard. It was hard to photograph it closed because it kept popping open.

This is what it looks like when it is opened up.

And here is another view. I used Memory Box papers for this, a little ribbon and of course rhinestones.

Here is another card using the Up, Up and Away stamp set and one of the plain Jane Sentiments from last months release. I painted these with shimmering wattercolors and used My Minds Eye papers.

And since Christmas will be here before you know it I just had to do this. I used the Verve Thankful Blossoms set for the flower and the snowflakes and sentiment are from Snowflake Splendor. Papers are Basic Grey.
I used my Nestibles for the layers under the flower and then ran them through the Big Shot using Cuttlebugs Swiss Dots embossing folder. This is the top flap of the card and when you open it up......

There is a pocket for a gift card. I ran the piece of red PP through BS with swirls embossing folder and the sanded the raised edges. Fun Card to make and more fun to receive.

And this is a selection of flowers and papers that I am offering as a prize to 2 lucky commenters here at my blog today. Happy Anniversary to George and I.

These are some samples of hand altered papers that I've done. they are good for backgrounds on cards and even small sections of layouts.

Thanks for hopping by today! Next stop for you is JODI over at
http://www.stampingalatte.blogspot.com/.

Have fun on your adventure and have a really great weekend. Good Luck Everyone.
