A Busy Day

There is a special Challenge going on over at Bugaboo today in honor of Operation Write Home's Birthday. See all the info below and then head on over to the Bugaboo Blog and see what all the Designers came up with for you.

Operation Write Home is an organization that sends blank handmade greeting cards for all occasions to deployed service members to write home on. They’ve mailed approximately 500,000 cards so far—and are still going strong!
Operation Write Home is celebrating their birthday in this month and has invited us to join their party. It is very easy to help out so please read on:
Several Teams are helping them with their cause this month by hosting special challenges for different events we have been picked to handle holidays! So to join our challenge we ask that you use a holiday theme.
VERY IMPORTANT: Please read the basic guidelines here; it’s important to; it’s important especially to remember that glitter is NOT allowed (it’s a safety hazard to our heroes), handmade cards only, and OWH needs A2 sized cards. “Operation Write Home” needs to be on the backs of your cards—it can be stamped, handwritten, or printed on labels. Please include a packing slip inside your box or envelope, and mail them to any of their shippers listed on the Mailroom page. In your package, you can also include notes written to a deployed service member.
Please consider entering a card for Operation Write Home into Jo-Ann’s Craft for a Cause Contest. You can win $1500, and OWH could win $50,000! How many boxes would that ship! Please see their site. for detailed rules and regulations.We love our followers and our challenge players but this week is special we encourage you to not only send this card to OWH but any others you may have or take the time to make some and send along! Here is a card I made last night using one of the new images.

A christmas card for my class I have today. Stamp image on accetate with Staz-On. Add some Liquid Pearls and fine glitter to the top of that. The piece of glossy card stock was painted with acrylics and the smooch and lift method of application.

This is one of the cards I have made for Operation Write home. I have to get together all the others I will be sending later today. This is a Bugaboo image and you can find it and more Here.
