I wanted to share a project that I did last week using an image from a New To Me Artist, Mitzi Sato-Wiuff of Aurora Wings. I discovered her through a friends post on Facebook and I love her images.
This one is called Girl With Pansy and you can find it in her Etsy Shop, HERE. She has a lot of wonderful Images that I just can't wait to color up.
For this piece I printed the image on some Watercolor Canvas (Wall Mart) that I had hiding on a shelf and when it came out of the printer I sprinkled embossing powder on the still wet ink and heat set it. I knew it would run and bleed if I didn't and the only thing to remember is to have everything ready to go as it comes out. I have been known to start sprinkling on the embossing powder while it is still printing. I think I will put this in a frame when I find the right one.
The sun rays are done using a stencil from Memory Box and I used DreamWeaver: Pearlescent Embossing Paste for the texture. I then colored the edges with Copics. The background is watercolor and then the rest of the coloring is done with Copics. I just love my Copics.
The circles are covered wit Goosebumps, The butterfly with Stickles and the pansies have a bit of Glitter Mod Podge.
The rhinestone flourish is Zva Creative. The other embellishments come from all over.
I hope you all have a good weekend and come back soon for some more fun images. Do go check out the Aurora Wings Blog and or the Facebook Page.
