Cuttlebug Challenge #50

The Cuttlebug "Be Inspired Wednesday" for http://cuttlebugchallenge.blogspot.com/2009/09/be-inspired-50-centerpieces.htmllast week was to make a Centerpiece to go along with the party theme that we have been using all month in celebration of the Blogs one year birthday. Well here is my take on the challenge. The Image has been enlarged to a 7"X7" size, colored with colored pencil and then cut out and mounted (One on either side) on a paper frame. This is simply two circles cut from card stock and then I added a pink colored doily and a smaller circle that was embossed with Cuttlebug folder Swiss dots, and then I attached the two sides to a u shape piece at the bottom to hold it up. I then put that in the center of a cake pedistal filled with yummy cupcakes pearched in matching cupcake holders. I enlarged the baloons from the image and then cut them from pattern paper and ran those through embossing folders too. The rest is simply curling ribbon and tissue paper. What a quick and yummy centerpiece.
Here is a close up of the image which is by Mo of http://digitalpenciltoo.blogspot.com/
I just wanted to put all the pieces i've made for the different challenges all together here even though they are in earlier posts.
So here is the album from last week.

The gift bag and card from week 2

The Party Invitation from the first week. I hope you all enjoyed seeing these as much as I did making them. I can't wait to see what they have in store for next week.

This card was made for a sample for a fall color challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil Group at Paper Craft Planethttp://www.papercraftplanet.com/group/mosdigitalpencil. We had some wonderful entries and I would love it if you would visit and check out all the beautiful that these women do.

This is another Mo Card that I did Friday using a Freebie Image that Mo offered when the group reached 300. I just love Bella and Bronte. The group at SNRhttp://snrcardiverse.ning.com/group/mosdigitalpencil is now over 200. Wow if you haven't joined in the Mo addiction run on over to one of these sites and check. Mo will be choosing a new Design Team (Fingers Crossed) soon so keep an eye out for more challenges and great work.

I bought some Haloween Papers last weekend after I bought a cute box of candy when I was grocery shopping Sat Morning. That turned out to be a very expensive box of candy. LOL This first one is a card that I made that was inspired by the box. This fits a long envelope. Yhe Stamp used is a Inkadinkado dollar stamp and I embossed it with copper embossing powder.

I cut a piece of clear acrylic and used alcohol inks to color the edges and then stamped an image (Inkadinkado) On the inside of the card. The inside of the lid is ment for signing.

The papers I used are Bo Bunny, K&Co., Pebbles, and We are Memory Keepers

This is the candy box, How cute is this. I am in the process of refining the pattern and writing instructions so if you would like a copy let me know. I will try to e-mail it to you. My e-mail is memesackman@yahoo.com.

The stamped sentiment is Basic Grey, Spider Web is Inkadinkado, Paper: Pebbles, and I used window sheets from SU. I just love this box.

Window sheet is colored around the edges with alcohol inks

This is about 4X7 I think and 1" deep.

Have a Great Day. I will be back with the rest of the album tomorrow I hopeand back in a little while with the Last Cuttlebug Challenge entry.

Cuttlebug Challenge Mini Album

I'm finished with another Cuttlebug Blog Birthday Party Challenge or the Be Inspired Challenge #49 http://cuttlebugchallenge.blogspot.com/2009/09/cuttlebug-challenge-be-inspired-49.html
You really need to go check the blog out this month because everyday there is more fun. All the Designers are doing a great job with projects and tutorials. It is a blast and I'm so happy that I got this challenge done in time this week. This was a lot of work but I love the way it turned out. Hope you do too.
The challenge this week is to make a mini album with the party theme that you chose. Of course mine is Cupcakes and girlie ones at that for Kylie's (my Niece)first birthday that is comeing up in November. To make this album I took a cupcake image that was 3"X3" and blew it up to 6"X6" and then cut pages from chipboard and clear acrylic. Might I just say here that I used my Tim Holtz sissors to cut the chipboard and acrylic and it cut through both like soft butter. The papers I used are Basic Grey and most of the images are Digital images by Mo over at Mo's Digital Pencil http://www.digitalpenciltoo.blogspot.com/ and a few from Queen kat Designshttp://www.katstamps.com/intro.htm.
This first photo is of the entire book all put together and standing up. It is so fat that you can't even lay it down. I used Cuttlebug Embossing folders and or cuttlebug die and some Spellbinders nesties for the frames. A lot of Stickles and Liquid pearls was used for this as well as a few rhinestones.

This is one of my favorite images by Mo and on of my fave pages in this book.

Love those little cupcakes. I honestly thing those are Studio G stamps.

This page will not be enough for all the guests. I think my sister said they were up to 40 +. We have a large family and so does Kylie's Daddy.

More photo spaces. Room for some journaling and photos.

Room for more photos.

Another Mo Image. This one is of a little girl but you can also get a boy one and male or female eating a cupcake and no #1 birthday candle in it. I love the large cupcake here. It matches the ones I did for the gift bag and card I made last week. I love working with the clear acrylic and using alcohol inks to add color and Cuttlebug Embossing folders to add texture.

Room for photos of Kylie with her first cake. I can't wait to see this.

The paper flower centers here were cut with a Cuttlebug die but I can't remember the name of it right now.

This will need some stickles and liquid pearls around the frames I'm thinking to finish it off. Love that little cupcake. It is from a set by Queen Kat Designs http://www.katstamps.com/intro.htm. They have wonderful stamps.

God I love this Mo Image. Bella and Bronte and a ton of presents.

Now that I'm looking at this while editing the photos I'm thinking I should have put Stickels and Liquid Pearls around the outer edge of the frames. Sentiment Queen Kat Designs

The back cover. I didn't really want to do anything with this because being on the back it might get all messed up but when I rethink this, the book will proably stand up all the time. I should maybe put a place for a photo of a sleeping Kylie after her big day. Good Idea!

For this post I'm just doing the album. I'm worn out and I still have things I want to work on so... enjoy this and I'll have to add all the cards I did last week tomorrow. Have a great week everyone.

Whatever fits the theme and challenge. Papers here are SU, Bo Bunny, Doodlebug and DCWV and the stamps are Mo's Digital Pencil, SU, Verve. I have used Cuttlebug Embossing Folders and A new Die of Flowers that I bought Sat. Nesties by Spellbinders and I did them with my Big Shot. I don't play Favorites. LOL I love everything.

Is It Really September?

This is a layout I did from a sketch that my friend Irene did for a for a feature for Scrap In Japan . She is a guest designer this month, For more info and a link to the Magazine http://scrapperlicious.blogspot.com/2009/09/guest-designer-of-scrap-in-japan.html. I still need to submit this. I used papers from several companies and the embellies and flowers all came from Pages In Time Store http://pagesintimestoresite.ning.com/and for the background piece I cut a piece of acrylic and then embossed using Distress embossing powder. You really have to fuss around and do a section at a time to get it to curl evenly because it does curl. Keep pokey tools handy (skewers) This is a layout that I did using Sketch 35 from 52Sketches52Weeks. I have been so busy lately I haven't been doing the 52 sketches and they are one of my fave sites. The paper here is the new Basic Grey Indian Summer. These are photos of Claudette from her first fall 10 years ago. I can't believe she will be 11 next month.

Basic Grey Indian Summer again. This is a Pile It On Challenge Card. Pile It On http://pileitonchallenge.blogspot.com/ Birthday Die Cut Dreams Challenge Blog #13http://diecutdreams.blogspot.com/ Orange and Chocolate and the sketch is from Little Paper Shop http://littlepapershop.blogspot.com/. I just love doing these kind of challenges. Again I haven't been able to do too many lately. The image here is one by Mo from Mo's Digital Pencil Too http://www.digitalpenciltoo.blogspot.com/ as are the images in the next 4 cards. I just love her stuff and there is a great group over at Paper Craft Planet http://www.papercraftplanet.com/group/mosdigitalpencil and another group at SNR Card Universe http://snrcardiverse.ning.com/group/mosdigitalpencil. Come check it out. I LOVE mo's images and I'm sure you will too. This is Birthday Hamster

This is Christmas Fairy Holly, I used the new Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses. I also got 2 new nesties sets and I couldn't decide which size to use so I just used a bunch.

Again Basic Grey and new Nesties, some liquid pearls and rhinestones and stickles on this "Fairy Tabia"

Noelle Bearing Gifts paper by My Minds eye

I have been using colored pencil and mineral spirits to do the coloring on most of these.

Toboggan. Bella and Bronte on a Toboggan, how cute is that.

And this little Frillie Nellie Bon Bon, Digital Image is by Pink Petticoat. These are really cute too.

Have a great weekend.
