Freebies at Bugaboo

It is Friday and that means Free Images over at Bugaboo. We also have some awesome samples over at the Catch The Bug Challenge Blog that the Design Team has made to share.
This is one of the cards I made using the Wee Ones stamps. You can find more here. I had seen a tutorial for the faux leather from Split Coast Stampers last week and just had to try this again. I used SU Curry colored paper for this, ran it through my Big Shot using a texture plate then applied Vintage photo Distress Ink lightly over the top and then embossed with clear embossing powder to finish it off. It is just amazing how it looks so much like leather. The rope and the strip across the bottom really is leather. I'm going to send this to my 2 1/2 year old Grandson for a just because card.
The other Freebie today is one of 7 images in the A Kids View-Time Well Spent. How cute is this? I used elements (chipboard frames, words and misc.papers ) from a set I bought a few weeks at Tuesday Morning store. There are also a couple pieces of paper from K&Co. perfect color match.
Now I'm off to shop for some of these new images. WOO HOO!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

A Few Things I've Been Playing With

I made this for the Mojo Monday Sketch this week, you had a choice of making your card square or round. Well for this purse I chose round of course. Also this fits The Digital Tuesday challenge, which was to make Anything But A Card and the sponsor for this week is Odd Girl Stamps and I just happen to have a few of their images. They are too cute. Here is another view. This was pretty easy to figure out how to make really. I just used the two circles, decorated them and then cut a strip 81/2" long by the width that I wanted (1 1/2") plus 1/2"on each side to fold in to glue to the front and back. I cut a handle with a MS punch and there you go. Instant purse/ gift bag.
I added a couple of my button flowers to the handle.

This is the Challenge for Sassy Cheryls Designs this week. The challenge was to do an all white project. The image can be colored however you wish but the rest of the card has to be white. This also fits in with the Caardvarks challenge for this week which called for a monochromatic color scheme.
I used 5 different textured papers for this. Fun hu? And since the word was made of metal I just drybrushed the white paint over. I hope it is okay to have the center image colored with various colors.

Samantha and Logan got to come home last year to celebrate her Dads Birthday. They had a really nice intimate family dinner, Sam and Logan, Ramona and Claudette and KayLynn , , Alisha and her fiance Casey, Sam's brother Jason and Dawn and Gary. It was a great Birthday present for Gary to have all the kids under one roof for his day. I am so happy they had that weekend because ,due to an accident this last October Gary is gone. I feel so bad for all of them. Love that Martha Stewart punch that I used for the green paper.
Sam and KayLynn and Logan playing Peek A Boo. I used a lot of embellishments from a Scrapbooking set that I bought from Costco a year or two ago.

I used small mirrors and colored the edges with Alcohol Inks and then I cut circles with my Spellbinders, circle and wrapped with embroidery thread. The ribbon is pull ribbon which is so much fun to use.

Have a great day everyone and don't forget to stop back for Bugaboo Friday Freebie.

Sketches By Tamara and A Layout

This is the Card Sketch over at Sketches By Tamara this week. I like this layout. This is also my last Design Team assignment for Sketches,I will be back next week to see what the new Layout Sketch will be though. I used a Bugaboo Image (Garden Cats) for this card and papers by Three Bugs In A Rug.

A great photo of my granddaughter deserves a fun layout. These papers are from the Scrapbooking kit that I got last week from Tuesday Morning and also some DP papers by K & Co. Close up of my new Tim Holtz Die. Love this glitter paper. I also had a lot of fun doing the beed work for this. I haven't done any for a long time.

I used a flourish from Tim Holtz Grungeboard and used Distress inks and Perfect Pearls to color that. Some of the punched flower petals were run through the Big Shot with an embossing folder as well as the pattern paper. I love the Heart paper Clips which I found in the dollar bin at Michaels.

The Tues Morning came with a ton of chipboard. So much fun. I have to go back and find some more.

I was on a roll using these colors and papers and I could now resist this. The image is from All That Scraps and is called Darby And Bumbles a Sweet November Image.

The Sizzix Lable is used with a Paper Pricking pattern by Fred She Says. I just love the button flowers that I made. buttons are from Foof-A-La.

Have a great Day everyone.

It Is Challenge Week at BUGABOO!

It is time for a Challenge over at Bugaboo Challenge Blog again this beautiful Saturday morning. We have a sketch for you to follow this week by our very own Scrappy. You can also find a new sketch to use by Scrappy each Sunday at Bugaboo too.
So use this sketch and the theme April showers for this challenge and then go to the Bugaboo Challenge Blog and enter your card, layout, or project with the Mr. Linky and you may win one of three prizes.
1st place: choice of 7 images
2nd place: 4 images
3rd place: 2 images. Those are Bugaboo digi Images. How cool is that.
Here is the card I made using the sketch and April Showers theme. This is JJ from the JJ Calender Images in her darling little umbrella outfit, dancing in the rain. The papers are K&Co. and I colored the image with Copics.
Okay for this image that I colored with copics too I used Basic Grey Phobe paper line and made the flower using a Dollar Store silk flower and BG punched flowers and some tiny pink beads for the center. I used a sketch from Scrappy Sketch Sunday for this layout and the image is one of the Spring Birds images. .

The third April Showers Card that I made I just put together because I love this image(Rainy Day Bears) and I was so on a roll with the rain theme. We have had so much rain this spring, it is silly. But my garden sure loves it.
Have a great weekend and I hope the weather is as beautiful where you are as it is here today.

It is Freebie Friday at Bugaboo Stamps Today. Woo Hoo! Run over to the Blog and see what the Design Team has to share with you. Then run to the Store to get your Freebies and then pick up some more Bugaboo Stamps because you can't just have one, or two. The flowers come in a set and I think you will love it. And you can get the Bears in a bundle if you'd like for just $15.00
Can You Belive That?
For this card, I had to combine images because I couldn't decide on my favorite one.
The other day I stopped by the Tues Morning store and found a Scrapbooking embelishment pack for 9.99. All kinds of fun stuff inside but my fave was this great package of buttons by Foof-a-La. I came home and went to work on making a stash of flower buttons.

I wanted to seperate these out so it is easier to see the details. Need more small ones.On the first flower here the solid blue is cut from Tissue paper that I recycled from a gift bag. The butterflies are die cut with a Sizzix embosslits from clear acrylic that I glued some of the really pretty tissue paper on the back side. Great texture.

Look at all those buttons. I can make a lot of Button Flowers. this is just from this one package. You should see the rest of my stash.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

New Release at Bugaboo and a Recipe for Sketches

Good Tuesday Morning to you all. It is New Release day over at Bugaboo and I hope you run on over and check out all the new Images Jodie has in the store for you. And don't forget to stop by the Blog to see what all the Design Team members have to share with you. Wait till you see all the flowers. Woo Hoo I'm going shopping as soon as I finish this post.
This first card uses one of the new Flower Bears and I used Basic Grey papers and Flower Soft on the bears hat. Too cute Hu? And this lovely Margaret has some great new sentiments to share with you. I love these. Check them out Here.

This week at Sketches By Tamara the challenge is a Recipe Challenge. You are to use Brads, Buttons and the Color Blue. I found this paper last fall and I'm just now finding the perfect place for it. This is a fancy Pants Design paper by Jackie Eckles. I love her stuff. I just added a button to the center of this flower to give it a finished look. I made these buttons using Alcohol Inks to color white buttons. Okay I've done it again. I had bought these adorable images and now I can't find the link anywhere for them. I have the name Hope Jacara written but I still can't find her images. I will keep looking and let you know.

I used a Martha Stewart Punch to do the edges of the background paper and the Believe lettering is from Michaels dollar section.

Brads......both rhinestone (from SU) and some from an embellies pack from dollar bin at Target. It is amazing what you can find out there.

I played around with an overlay in photoshop for the picture of my granddaughter. I learn new stuff everyday and I'm always so proud of myself. I don't always remember how I did something so it just opens up a whole new learning experience the next time I try it. LOL

Have a great day.

Anything But A Card

It is time for Anything But A Card over at Bugaboo today and it is my turn along with Marilyn to come up with a fun project to share. How cute are these Images. You can find a whole bunch of these in the store. Okay Seven, but that's a bunch I think. I have been itching to do something with these and the day after Easter (my fave time to shop for candy) I found these cute boxesof candy sticks at Walmart. How much fun would it be to get this as a little gift from someone?I picked up these precut butterflies and the paper at Tuesday morning this weekend and I just keep using it for everything. Come back tomorrow for new release Tuesday for another card made withe this same paper. I combined the images and then colored them with Copics. I made an extra cat image and popped it up.
I just covered the box that the candy came in for this and added the images to the canes with a pop up. You just never know what you will find out there to inspire you. When you have great images like Bugaboo it makes it easier.

Have a great day.

Alice In Wonderland

When I went to see Alice In wonderland a few weeks ago I was inspired to rush home and be creative. I knew where I had some Alice Images I could get my hands on since I am on the Design Team for Bugaboo stamps but the idea started to grow and so I went on a quest to find more images by different designers. There are a few out there. I have more than this that I want to do but I really couldn't wait any longer.
The first card here is Bugaboo Images that I combined and colored with my Copics. You can find the images here. I used Basic Grey; Marrakech Paper and I decided to use this paper for all the cards so they would have that thread running through as well. I am also entering this into the Challenge for Our Creative Corner this week . The challenge is to use buttons. This card uses images from Mo's Digital Pencil. The challenge at Mo's Challenge Blog this week is to use pastel colors. I used Vellum cardstock for the card body and then used the lightest of the BG papers for the layers and the butterflies that I cut with my Sizzix embosslit dye and then I used this beautiful pale blue pull ribbon. Love this stuff.
This card I made using Pixi Dust Studio Images. I know I have heard the name before but for some reason last week was the first time I went to the site. I love the images and I was so happy to find Alice.

And then there are these images from the Greeting Farm. This weeks Friday challenge at the Greeting Farm is a sketch and the Challenge this week at Pile it On is to make an Easel card. This worked out pretty well for both sites. Don't you love the mushrooms?

Here is a close up of the images.

Have a great day everyone. I'll be back Friday.
