It is New Release Day at Bugaboo.

Today is New Release Day at Bugaboo and wait until you see all the new ghost images that Jodie has for us today. I used this little cutie and use papers from Basic Grey and Graphic 45 and I used dazzeling Diamonds Glitter for the ghost. I posted two photos of the same card today just to show the difference between indoor light and outdoor. Some time and especially for this one I like the yellow glow of the inside light. This version is closer to the auctual colors of the papers but has a sort of blue cast because it was taken before the sun was all the way up.
Either way I think this is a cute card. Don't forget to run over to the Bugaboo Blog and check out what the Design Team has to share with you today and then run to the shop and pick up some ghosts for yourself.

Have a great day.

A Very Pink Girlie Layout

I did this layout today for a Challenge at Swirlydoos (use swirls of any size or medium) and leave a link with Scrapperlicious and leave a comment on the Swirlydoo Blog telling them what you like about their kits.
The second Challenge that I did this layout for is the Color Room Palette #21. Go and see all the beautiful layouts that they have to share.
This is a layout of my granddaughter Claudette when she was such a little one. About 9 months old. She had a ton of hair and she was a crawler. I babysat for her for a while and it was so much fun. It was exhausting sometimes but always fun.
For this layout I used papers from Stampin Up! Retired now and also papers and elements from a Kaiser Kraft Digital Kit (Fluttterby Mega Kit) The flowers are made from papers from the kit as well as papers by Bo Bunny and some organdy and a little felt. This flower is made by stitching a long piece of foldec organdy and then gathering it up and adding a paper flower and button to the top.
The tw Burgandy flowers are made using Bo Bunny papers and glimmer mist that I made usingre inkers, perfect perls and water. Love the rhinestone swirls.

Here is a close up of two of the flowers and one of the butterflies.

The small flower on the right is made by cutting the organdy and folding it and layering with felt and a paper flower. I added a small heart rhinestone to the center.

I used acrylics mixed with some crackle glaze to paint the photo with and the background paper. The lace here is some from a roll that I got in a box of ribbons from a neighbor that was cleaning out her house. There is some wonderful things in those boxes. I added the tiny rhinestones down the center.

I did a lot of hand cutting for this layout, I usually do, but I also took advantage of my new Cricut machine and some SVG files. I love this machine. Great swirls!

More close ups.

What a cutie.

Have a wonderful evening and week.

Today is Challenge Day At Bugaboo

It is Saturday and that means it is time for a Challenge Today at Bugaboo. Since we are in the Dog Days Of Summer right now here in the U.S. we thought it would be fun to have you all let us see what that Sentiment Means To You. So the Challenge is to make a card or project using Neutral colors plus One other color and expressing what the Dog Days Of Summer means to you.
The winners will receive: 1st place- 7 free digis of your choice
2nd place-4 free digis
3rd place-2 free digis. As always you can find all the official rules at the Bugaboo Challenge Blog.
For mu first card I did this adorable Dog in the convertable. This is from the Summer Dogs digi images. The papers are from the new line at Stampin Up! as is the lace trim.
I think this best describes what I think of when I hear the phrase Dog Days of Summer. Again the images are from the Summer Dog Digis and how cute are those buttons and what about the card itself. I did this for a challenge at Dare You 2 Digi Stamp this week which is to make a shaped card and when I thought about that I thought big round Sun shape. I used one of the Tim Holtz embossing plates for the texture and then sponged on red ink.
And on the inside we have a Dog on a beach. Sand is made using Tim Holtz Distress embossing powder. I just had to throw that 108 in there because that is what it was in my backyard the other day.

This week is also special at Bugaboo because we have a Sponsor
You just have to check out Stampin Dragon Designs. You will also have a chance to win some images from them.
So join us for the Challenge this week at Bugaboo.

I just had to make a card using this wonderful Dragon from Stampin Dragon and combining it with the Bugaboo image. How cute.

Have a great weekend everyone.

I picked up this file from My Scrap Chick the other day and made up these three mini albums. These are accordian albums and are about 5" and have as many pages as you would like to add.
I was so taken with these I just had to try making one of the Bugaboo Bobble Heads into one so this is what I came up with using the Santa Bobble Head Image. Too Cute Hu? Now I have to decorate the inside of these.
This view is of it open a little.

I used glitter paper for the hat band and I covered the beard with Diamond Dust glitter.

Have a Great weekend everyone.

Wednesday Tutorial Day at Bugaboo

Today I'm going to share with you how I made these beautiful flowers that I used on this Layout. I bought several types of organdy and ran them through my Big Shot using a Sizzix flower die. For the flower below I used two layers of organdy flowers.
Each layer requires 4 of these flowers and one pattern paper flower for the backing and another flower and a rhinestone for the top.
I folded each of these flowers into fourths

They are slippery little devils.

I used my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher to hold the petals together.

It is hard to show the two different layers but you can see what a fluffy flower this makes.

Staple the organdy to the pattern paper flower that you have shaped and rounded from the back.

Here is the side view of the finished flower.

I cut several pieces of fabric and attached to the center of this flower that I cut from the pattern paper and then added a small flower and rhinestone.

All the flowers close up.

For the pointy flowers I cut several layers of organdy and a piece of felt and pattern paper and topped it all off with a rhinestone.

Another pointy flower.

Here is another view for you.

And one last view.

I used Basic Grey, Olivia, paper for this layout and the butterflies are from Bugaboo. You can find the image here.
I hope you all enjoyed this. Have a great day everyone.

Oldie But Goodie Day at Bugaboo & A Layout

Today is Thursday so that means it is Oldie But Goodie Day over at Bugaboo. Run over to the Bugaboo Challenge Blog and see what the Designers have to show off today.

For my card today I used one of the Skelekinz images. They are all too cute. I colored her with my Copics and set her on the porch of this wonderful Haunted House that I cut with my new Cricket. This file is free from Free SVG Files.com. This is the inside of the card. I used Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher to connect the front to the back of the card, tied a bow on the front and Stamped the sentiment and spiders with Studio G stamps

The cobweb(ie) effect on the inside purple is done wit Versamark applied with a sponge and then White embossing powder.
As I mentioned above, I finally broke down and bought a Cricket. I had to it was such a great deal and I havebeen lusting after on forever. I also bought several cartridges but best of all I got te SCAL software so I can download files from the net and cut from them. That is how I gt the House Above and The flowers I used on this Layout and flourishes and butterflies.

The Flowers are from a File I bought from SVG CUTS. This one is an assortment of MUMS. Too Cool hu? The Butterfly and the frame I cut using my Sentimentals Cricut Cartridge and the Flourish is a free file also but I can't find the site that I got it from right now. I will have to get back to you on that.

Another close-Up of these flowers. I cut them from My Minds Eye Paper and then sponged Distress Ink on the tips.

I cut Three different size Labels and then cut the photo of My Granddaughter and ran the paper frames through my Sizzix using a Cuttlebug folder.

Close-Up of frame

I just love this butterfly.

Have a great day and come back Tomorrow for Friday Freebie and Saturday for the next Challenge at Bugaboo.
