Anything But A Card

Today is Anything But A Card Day over at Bugaboo and today it is my turn to share a project with you. Since Easter is just around the corner (Not really) I decided to make these cute little gift bags for my granddaughters.

This is a purse box that I came across over at Mel Stampz and it is just perfect for this. She has templates for all kinds of things but purses are her thing. She is the best.
I used some new Designer paper that I bought from Stampin Up' last month for the flap and I used Bugaboo Images Easter Chicks and Easter Bunny for these.

I colored these with my Copics and used my favorite Nestie to cut them out.

I did two images of each so I could layer the head with pop ups.
The handle is a strip of cardstock with lace attached and then a piece of ribbon to top that off.  I will fill these with Jelly Beans or something.

I hope you all have a great day.

Guest Designer For CS Designs

Good Morning Everyone :  I am so happy to announce that I am one of the Guest Designers this month over at CS Designs. I only recently discovered Chris' Images while at Crafters Digital Art Center and I'm so happy that I did. These are very fun images to work with.
This is also a great time to come and check out the CS Designs Blog and Store and join in the first ever Extravaganza!
Photobucket

Coming March 1st CS Designs is hosting their first Extravaganza Contest,
so gather your CSD digis and get ready to start creating. This will be your chance to win some of your Favorite  Digital Stamps from the CS Designs Shop.

Want to join in the fun? Check it Out !!!

You have almost an entire month for this one. You can create as many wonderful entries as you want so get out those CS Designs digis and inspire us with your art. :)

I wanted to share a few of the projects that I have done using CS Design images.

This first card highlights Cloe with her String of Stars. I used Basic Grey papers for this and I colored Cloe with my Copics and gave her wings a little sparkle with some Stickles. The Rose Spray is a Cut file from Fred She Said.

I haven't made one of my Bead Girlz for a long time and Chris's Expressive Hearts #3 image just screamed out for one. I always love making these and I will be doing some more really soon.

These are hard to photograph but I think you can see the face really well here.
And here is one of the Art Montage Series I have used this along with a second Image to decorate a page in my Mini Album that I am working on. A perfect fit
Just love that flower. It is an SVG Cut File from SVG Cuts .  That little cutie and her dog is me when I was just a tot. We went camping a lot when I was growing up.
Well I hope You come back often this month to see all the fun projects I make for CS Designs and work for My other Design Teams.
There Is Always something new and fun going on here.
Have a Great Day and Week.

I used one of the Ava Images from the New Release last Tuesday. How about an Irish Coffee. Yummy. I used papers by Colorbok and the flower is from a pad of punch out flowers by Colorbok also. These are so fun. Buttons are Stampin Up'. I colored this with my copics and you can't see it in this photo but I used crystal effects on her bow and the handle and stripe on the cup I finished off with a gel pen.

Here is a close-up of the flower. I have been using the thin jewlery wire for accents lately.

How about a Teddy Bo.

I was looking for a sketch the other day and I came across this one by Create 4 Fun.
I really love all the layers. I always think I do good with layers until I see some of these sketches.
I also used some beautiful papers that I have had for quite some time. It is Basic Grey Kioshi. And then there is this adorable image. How cute is this Teddy Bo Image. I just found these on Sat.  This is one of their Color Your Own Decoupage Sheets. It is a lot of fun to put together. I ran the sheet of base paper through one of my Tim Holtz Texture Folders and then sponged the edge with peeled paint distress ink.

Here is a close up so you can see all the layers. I stamped the flowers onto pattern paper and then added some glittery brads and a couple of cute buttons on one of them and I also added little drops of Crystal Effects.  The boots also have a coating of Crystal Effects and Stickels on her wings.

This is Jodie's 3rd set of these adorable characters and they are great. You really should get over to the Challenge Blog and see what the Design Team has to share with you today and then head on over to the Bugaboo Shop to grab your own.
For my card today I did a little paper piecing. I happened to have a paper plate that had a great mixture of green paint from the class I did last Tuesday using the Acrylic Smash technique. I used that for the shamrock shape that Ava is perched on. Isn't that fun. The flowers are cut with an SVGFile that I bought from Fred She Said and the rest of the pattern papers are from Colorbok. Add a couple of buttons, and pearls and some shiny ribbon and I'm ready for St Paddy's day.
Have a great day.

This first card is made with a Freebie ( for joining CDW). I colored with my Copics on textured card stock that I picked up at the Local Scrapbook Store. The papers are by Doodlebug Designs and the flower  center is Stampin Up. Pearl flourishes from somewhere.

Here is a close up. I just love this paper that I have been working on. Perfect for Copics. The purse and shoes and hair piece have Crystal Effects on them.

I have been working on a Mini album on and off for several weeks now. I'm not very far but I love the way it is turning out. I hope you will too. This page has a series of little pages stitched together that will hold some of my little Baby and Toddler photos. This image by Chris at CS is one of my favorites. there are more too.

Here is a photo of several of the pages of the Mini. I'm using papers by Bo Bunny and Websters, Once Upon a Springtime. All kinds of bling, ribbons,  rub-ons and flowers.

This is another card using Chloe (an Image by CS Design.) Faux Stitching and a wonderful Rose spray cut with an SVG file by Fred She Said makes this a perfect whatever card. I used Basic Grey Papers and Some twisted jewelry wire and a bit of lace ribbon and the sentiment is from a selection of Vellum  add ons that I found in the Dollar section at JoAnns.

One last card using Chloe on a Mushroom and Doodlebug Papers and Stampin Up' buttons and brads. This is so shiney because I used a lot of  Jewel Glitter Ritz extra fine glitter. Love that stuff.

A close-up so you can see the texture of the paper. It is like really nice Arches Watercolor Paper. 130 lb. cold press.  LOL I'm just showing off. I do love good watercolor paper and watercolors. I wish there were more hours in a day.

Let's Think Bright And Breezy

Are you tired of the bad weather? Are you just dying for anything Bright, and Breezy? Well this week over at Pile It On that is what we all decided we wanted to see. So the Challenge This week is to make a project that is Bright and Breezy. If you hop on over to the Pile It On Blog you can see all the wonderful designs that the Design Team came up with for you. And this week our Wonderful Sponsor is Meljens Designs and Whimsical Stamps. Look what I got to play with. These are just two of the many adorable images you can find over there and who knows come Play along with Pile It on this week and you have a chance to win some Meljens Images for yourself. You can find all the details on the Pile It On Blog.
For my card today I used these two images that I merged together and then I cut them out using the inner circle of my Nestables Crown Circles dies and then I colored that with my Copics. I printed the image onto Colorbok white texture cardstock (I have been using this paper a lot lately) and layered that onto two layers of the Crown Circles cut from the new Basic Grey DS papers called Curio.   The background papers are from the SU Sell-A-Bration digital elements cd that I got yesterday.

Here is a close up so you can see the texture paper better. I had a friend of mine try it yesterday and she was on her way to WallMart when she left my house. The pink glitter border is made using double sided tape and MS glitter. So quick and easy and Bright.
