Friday Freebie At Bugaboo

Another week come and gone and another week closer to fall and Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. My favorite time of year. But for now, Jodie has this adorable image that would be fun to send to someone going back to school or to use to add to a page layout of your family vacation.
A close-up! I love these flowers. They are cut with an SVG file from Alaa Studios. I used Crystal Accents on the eyes and bucket.
And inside the card.
I hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day weekend. And stay safe.

New Release Day At Bugaboo

Can you believe it is almost the end of August? Time sure flies and there is a hint of Fall in the air in the evening and mornings. For the New Release over at Bugaboo I used this adorable Bee Bear image that I colored with Copics and paper pad from Wall Mart.
The die behind the bear and hive is cut with a Memory Box Die. I just love these things.
And inside the card.

Don't Forget to head over to the Bugaboo Challenge Blog to see all the great projects by the Design Team. We have some pretty talented ladies.
I hope you all have a great Day.

Bugaboo Is Back From Vacation

It is Tuesday and that means it is New Release Day over at Bugaboo. We all had a great Vacation and are now refreshed and raring to go. I feel rested and excited that there is just a hint of Fall sometimes in the mornings around here. Usually by noon though it is well on its way to 100 degrees. All thoughts of Fall are out the door then. It will get here soon enough.
So for my project today I colored the image with Copics and added some Glossy Effects and Stickles here and there. The papers are from a Colorbok pad.
I used eye shadow (a set from the Dollar Store) to add some shimmer around the outer edge of the Spellbinders die cut. It works pretty darn good.
And the inside:
I hope you all have a great day and a fantastic week.

A New To Me Designer.

Yesterday, one of my friends posted a link on face book to this Designer/illustrator. Her name is Wendy Burns and her Blog is called Textiles: Print/Applique/Embroidery. I love her work and she has now added an Etsy shop and is selling Digital Images that are just wonderful for cards, scrap booking, altered art pieces. I can't wait to do more pieces using her images. I think I have all that she has for sale right now. Tonight I will be working on a couple of the long legged young women she has in her collection. The animals are just a blast and the  little elements are perfect to intermix with all of the images. Wait till you see the Pirate Ship. Can't wait to get to that one too. So please visit her blog soon and take a look and grab some images. I'm sure you'll have a blast coloring.
For my card today I used the Image Love My Puppy. The papers are from a pad by American Crafts that I picked up at Jo Ann's yesterday. Great for this card that would be perfect for a little sweetie I know.  So I colored this with my Copics and used some Glossy Accents here and there for some shine.
The butterflies were cut with a Memory Box Die and I even decorated the envelope flap.
Look at that adorable blue puppy.
And on the inside.
I hope you visit Wendy's Shop soon and grab a few images for yourself. I'm off to share this on her Face Book page.
The sketch I used is this weeks challenge at The Deconstructed Sketch. I'm entering that also.
Have a fun evening everyone. and I will see you soon.

Good Saturday Morning

I'm so glad that it is the weekend and I plan on getting a few things done in the studio and finish up some projects that I want to share with you.
Recently I came across these adorable images on the By Lori Designs store. These are from the Bug And Roo  line.
I just loved this little girl and thougt it would be perfect to try using my Copics to color African American skin tones.
The flower and butterfly are SVG files from Alaa's Studios. I crocheted the little flower.
For this one I used Distress Stains to create the color on the tag and then some bits and bobs from a box I keep on my desk.
I added a little Glossy Glaze on the bow and pocket.
And some Glossy Effects to the patch and trim on the dog sweater.
These were so much fun to do. I hope you all have a great weekend.
