Okay for today I have used Christmas Brat, Girl Elf and Boy Elf and an Ornament
I had found this picture frame last year and didn't have time to do anything with it and then I decided this would be perfect for today's project.
I started by painting the base and all the edges with some pearlized acrylics. Next came cutting papers from a Matt Stack by DCWV and paper piecing them to the tree and cutting a wonderful piece of glitter paper for the frame. Add some tiny star garland and a snowflake and there you have it, all you need is a photo.
For the images I colored those with my Copics and added some glitter, some chunky glitter.
I love the way this turned out and it will be right at home in my forest display in my studio this year.

A Red And Green Challenge At CS Designs

It is time for Christmas In July and that is no exception over at CS Designs. We (the Design Team) have been busy little Elves thinking up great ideas for Christmas to help get you started early. So round up those papers from last season and grab an Image or two (We have lots in the CS Store Here) and join us.

For my card today I have used one of the Solitare Behind The Mask Series- Lace and Jewels. I printed it in three sizes colored them with my Copics and added some Stickles and Glassy glaze and picked out some papers from a pad by K & Co.

I showed this to my husband and he was very confused at first. He wasn't thinking Christmas at all and when he read the "Counting The Days" he asked for what? When I explained the Christmas In July theme he finally got it.

Look at those luscious lips. She would be a fun elf to find in Santa's workshop.
I used the Sketch From The Deconstructed Sketches today.

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 9

I will also be entering this in the following challenges this week:
The Little Red Wagon; Christmas In July

Moving Along With The Times: Christmas In July

Pile It On Techniques

This week at Pile It On we would like to see your favorite Technique on a card or project. What a great way to get our creative juices flowing. I see things all the time and think wow I'm going to have to get my whatever out and do that. It is always so much fun.

So for this week at Pile It on we have a great Sponsor in the Wax Fruit Company. Must check out these images. These are so wonderful. I used a Gerber Daisy (Here).

For my Favorite Technique I came up with something a little new today.Using Alcohol ink on acrylic is one of my favorite techniques but it is impossible to print a Digi Image onto Acrylic.  Using alcohol ink on top of a Copic colored image that is covered in several layers of Ranger Ultra Thick embossing powder works great though. Sometimes I'm just too clever for myself. .

I colored the image as I normally would and then used Stampendous embossing ink in a roll on container (like a dauber) to cover the image and sprinkeled on Ultra Thick embossing powder, heat it up then add more, heat and add until you get the finish you want.
I just love the way this flower turned out.
You can see the background green piece a little better here.
I used the sketch from Kathy's Waffel  Sketch File Blog.

I will also be entering this card in the following Challenges:
Marks Finest Paper: Die Cut As A Background
Card Makin Mamas: Summertime ( When Daisies bloom)
The Stamp Man Challenge Blog: Use Alcohol Ink (optional sketch)
Stamp Insanity: Anything Goes
Creative Belli Blog: Custom Made Bellies (the flower)
Diva's By Design: Die Cuts or Punches (both)
Bearly Mine Challenges: Anything Goes
Creaive Craft Challenges: Pretty Blossoms
Jac-inks Papercraft Challenge: Die-cut plus Texture
Partytime Tuesdays:Square Card
Try It On Tuesday:Flower Power
Cheerful Stamper: Favorite Background.

I have the photos and will be making a tutorial a little later today on how to do this technique.
Have a great day.

Challenge Day At Bugaboo

It is Challenge Day At Bugaboo. Thanks to everyone who played along last week for the Anything Goes Challenge. Great entrys everyone.
Okay for this week we would like you to show us some Clean and Simple Designs. As you all know that is not my forte but being a good sport I gave it a try. I like the way this turned out.
I used a snowflake embossing folder and some white pearlescent paper for the background and then cut the blue polka dot print with my Nestie and a Cuttlebug Die for the word. Egghead was colored with Copics and then I used Utee embossing powder for the edge of the circle and fine glitter for the egg body.

You can see the embossing much better in this close-up.
know get out there and get busy on clean and simple.  Head over too the Bugaboo Challenge for all the details and to see what the Design Team has to share with you this week.  Have a Great Weekend.
