The girlz don't stand up on their own but they do rather well at sitting. I didn't want to loose that stringy bead necklace feel.
Check out these hairdos. They are layers of paper flowers plastic and wire.
What can I say, You gotta love a girl and her dog, especially when they are all pretty and pink.
Mine, the first
KayLynns, the second

I bought this paper a while back and I'm just getting around to using it. I found this image of a very young Elizabeth Taylor and the sketch is by Julie at 52 Sketches 52 Weeks. All the elements just came together. The paper is by Creative Imaginations. The mirrors are wrapped with eyelash ribbon and the one on top is framed by a piece of covered chipboard. The trim at the top and about 2/3rds of the way down are IOD tape. The swirls I used a piece of grungboard and traced the image and then filled it in with puff paint and sprinkled it with black glitter. Cool.
This is this weeks Challenge for 52 Sketches 52 Weeks. I love these photos of the girls.

My new daisy die. I cut Bazil Metallic Paper, pattern paper, acrylic and paper towel that I painted, layered them and added a flower I cut from the pattern paper and topped it off with a rhinestone.
This is a sketch for 52 sketches 52 weeks also. I've been doing a lot of these of late. I came across these photos of Taylor and Tolouse when they were just babies. I think she was two and he was just a month or two. She just turned 14 the first of the month. He unfortunately is gone now. Man time flys

Recgonize that face? How about this one? Yes I really was that close to him! Mr. Lance Armstrong rides again and he just happened to come out of retirement and ride in the Amgen Tour Of Californis, which started in my town. Yea! After I got these photos I found Ali and we went home to watch the rest of the race on TV. That was the best place to auctually see the race.
I also got close enough to get this shot of Paul and Phil. I love those two. I never did find Bob Rowe. or Role, whatever his name is. It was a wonderful day. You just can't beat the energy that takes over. It was really cold that day but the rain did hold off until the next day. Lucky for us unlucky for everyone else all week because I think the weather was nasty all week.
This is a Layout that I made for the day. I still have the stuff to make one more page over there on my desk that I need to do.

Here are a bunch of cards that I have made for one challenge or another the past few weeks. The first two were for Viva La Verve Feb Challenges with a twist over at SCS. I used Basic Grey Bittersweet paper for these two. The first ones twist was to use acrylic on the card somewhere. I used packaging acrylic ont the background of the flower area and ran it through a swirl embossing envelope then used alcohol ink to do the color. The acrylic part of the flower was stamped using red craft ink and clear embossing powder. If the packaging is thick enough and you are very careful you can heat embosst this stuff. I got the new Sizzix Daisy Die from SU. Woo Hoo guess whos happy now.
The twist for this sketch was to use embossing on the card somewhere. I ran a piece of white paper through the swiss dot embossing envelope for the oval and another piece through the swirl folder and then I used ink on a felt applicator to add pink to the raised design.

I used faux stitching around the oval with a pink gel pen. Yesterday I finally got some Nestables. I'm so excited. I started out with the scalloped ovals. I can't wait to use them.
This is a very cool cupcake paper piecing pattern that I found on Scrapbooks.com I used Basic Grey Bittersweet papers for this. I crimped the cupcake paper and I used stickels and puff paint for the frosting.
One of my Magnolia creations. I love those little kids.
A card for A Cafe Mocha sponsor challenge. It had to be pink, white, purple, grey and use a crown. I think I got it all in there.

This was a Layout for 52sketches52weeks. Julie comes up with the best sketches every week and there usually is a great prize that you are entered into a drawing for when you post a layout. These photos were taken back at Thanksgiving. Man that girl has great curls. I just love the metal words. They are adhesive backed and you get 3 in a pack for...you guessed it, a dollar. Michaels. The beads that I attached around the outside of the circle were the perfect color and they came from ...The Dollar Store.
I just love all the buttons I used on this and of course the paper is fantastic. It is Little Yellow Bicycle. The flowers were cut with Sizzix dies and then I put a coat of glitter mod podge on each layer.
I love Valentines Cards and wouldn't you know it I made a bunch and didn't give one out. I'm such a dork. Okay I think I found this technique on SCS. The envelope is decorated as nicely as the inside. I just love that bow made out of pull ribbon. It is one of my favorite things these days. Pull ribbbon. On the flower above I ran a piece of packaging material through my Big Shot and cut a flower and then I ran it through a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The flower on the card below is made by layering corrugated cardboard, brown card stock with little dots of Stickels. and then a piece of pattern paper and some foam hearts and rhinestones. I used a clear stamp that I think is Inkadinkado for the butterflies and then added a couple of sequin butterflies and some puff paint.I also made use of a paper doilie. It just wouldn't be Valentines without Doilies.
This was made from one of the card kits that you get in the dollar bins at Target. There's that doilie again and some foam hearts.
This is a pull out tag card that I did for my Tuesday Night Technique class. I used papers and flowers that I got in the dollar bins at Michaels for this. I love the new dollar stuff they have. We used SU Garden Whimsy to do the images on the tags and we ran a piece of ribbon between the black background and the print paper.
