Thank you to everyone who left comments I just love it. I hope you will come back and visit me again.
Now on to the rest of the weekend. I taught a class at Beverlys Unique Scrapbooking ( A very fun LSS) and had a great time. I think the ladies learned a lot and I hope they had a great time also. I look forward to doing another class soon. Anyway. Bev had all this Wild Asparagus paper so I had to have some. So Sat. night I scrapped this layout. The sketch is by Beggahunahttp://www.scrapbook.is/beggahuna/ . I really like her sketches. Anyway I don't get to use her sketches very much because it seems I'm always doing layouts for a challenge here or there. This was fun. This is a photo of me when I was just a little tyke a million years ago. I tore and then inked the edges of the green pbackground cardstock and them used a small stamp to stamp the edges . Then I randomly stuck on sequins. The pattern papers I ran through the Big Shot using embossing folders and then I rubbed the surface with an ink pad to highlight the raised edges. I just love the new Prima vine like flowers but since I did not have any on hand and no stores were open at 10p.m. I made my own from recycled silk flowers. I gave the silk a glitter coat with a glitter pen and used paper wraped florist wire for the stems and florishes.
I added some Prima flowers to some silk flowers and also used the glitter pen on them. The paper flourish across the bottom is a new Sizzix Die that I bought Fri.
I also spent some time Sunday playing with ink and glossy paper and ink and grunge paper by Tim Holtz. I could not get my Nesties to cut through it. I used a Sizzix instead and ran the pieces through the B S using embossing folders. I added some metal pieces and some glitter. The piece on the upper right is an old ear ring that I can't wear anymore. I bought these green beads yesterday morning too. I just love the satin feel to them. This is one of the new Tim Holtz stamp sets. Artistic Flight.

Karen posted a really cool picture and challenged the Design Team to come up with a layout. If you go to the gallery you can see the other entries. There are some great new additions in the gallery and the Artist of the month is Cathy Lane. I just love her work. Anyway this is my take on the layout. I used Graphic 45 papers , and a few clip art images. The strip around the top and right side under the rickrack and the bead work is scotch tape colored with alcohol ink.
