Oldie But Goodie

Today is Oldie But Goodie Day over at Bugaboo and this is always so much fun. We are prompted to go through all of our older images and use something we haven't seen for awhile. For me it is especially fun because I have so many favorites from the past it is hard to keep up and show them some love once in a while.
So for today's card I decided to use one of Jodie's A Kids View images, A Kids View Fall Wheelbarrow-Boy. You can find tons of these adorable in the Bugaboo Store. I love them all.
I used a new My Minds Eye 6"X6" pad, Reunion, for this and a few buttons from my stash. This is pretty clean and simple for me, but the image and papers really stand out this way.
 A close up for you.

New Challenge at Dilly Beans.

This weeks Challenge over at Dilly Beans is to use Purple, Black and Pink. Well when I read the challenge list I was looking at the wrong date so I am a little off in my color choices. I have the purple and black but not so much pink. So sorry but it is a little late to start over and I really like this. I love the background which really does have pinks in it. I had made these papers about a year ago and came across them when I was getting ready for my garage sale.Yummm. I couldn't remember exactly how I got that effect but I sat down last night and experimented. Before I show you the newest pieces though Here Is my card for the challenge today.
I used Megan's new Halloween images # 476 Me & Pops and #474 Little Monster. How adorable are these?
I colored the images with copics and used Glossy Accents on the eyes to give them some shine.
 The inside of the card.
So the background is made using white acrylic and Distress Stains along with some perfect pearls.
When I tried this again last night I used the Tim Holtz Distress Stain(white) and then dropped some ink refills around on top of that and then laid a piece of Black Glossy paper face down into it, lifted and then repeated the technique again. I dried it a little then I sprinkled on some perfect pearls and sprayed that with water to set it. On some of these I added some Judi Kins Diamond Glaze and glitter.

I really had a lot of fun making the papers and as always I loved coloring Megan's images. Now run along to the Dilly Beans Designer And Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has to share for today.

02 October, 2012

I hope you all are having a great day so far. I'm wondering how hot it will get here in sunny California. Yesterday was 100 degrees and it is the first of October. Now that just is not right.  My husband feels that we will go straight into winter and have no fall, which is his favorite time of year.
Well never fear. I will still be putting up Halloween Decorations in anticipation of my Party. So I dug out the boxes this weekend and started putting up my favorite thing ever. My Bugaboo Banner that I made last year. Here are a few of the pieces. There are 13 in all. If you click Here it will take you to the post I did last year and you can see all the pieces.
There are photos of some of the other decorations I made Here. Have fun.

Now on to the New Release at Bugaboo today. Jodie has some wonderful Thanksgiving images in the store and she added this adorable Turkey today There are also a ton of great Halloween and Fall images.
So for my card today I colored the image with Copics and cut the image out with a Stampin Up' die and then I distressed the edges with Distress ink. The papers are We Are Memory Keepers.

And a close-up.

So head over to the Bugaboo Challenge Blog and check out the great projects that the Design Team has to share today.
