This is a Layout that I did for my Guest Design Project over at
CS Designs this week. The details will follow:
But first I just have to share this little tidbit about my youngest granddaughter.
My granddaughter KayLynn has been talking about having her hair cut for a very long time and she wanted to donate it to Locks Of Love. Well Friday was the day. My daughter and older granddaughter and I accompanied her to the hair salon. Here is how it went.
This is how long it was. And natural curly to boot but the weight of all that hair straightens it out. Not anymore.
This is the ponytail going away.
Oh boy a hair wash just like the big girls.
Some trimming and a little layering...
And some blow drying( KayLynn wanted her to straighten it some)
She doesn't look that excited here but then I guess she never realized how much time it took to get a hair cut since she has never done it before.
The end product. Very cute and I can't wait to see what it will look like when she washes it and lets it go.
Okay so on to the Layout. I have been working with these Images from
CS Designs and this is how it all came together. I will be making more flowers with these
Expressive Hearts. I started with a photo of my two granddaughters and a gate that is from a SVG file by
Treasure Box Designs. Let me just say that I love my Cricut and SVG files. While I'm on that subject let me just tell you that the flowers here are from a File by
Fred She Said. There are a lot of SVG files out there so if you have a Cricut check into the
Sure Cuts A Lot program. So much fun.
I used a Tim Holtz Mask on the base card stock and spritzed on 3 different shades of Perfect Pearls Mists.
The little sentiment is also by CS Designs and is a freebie this month. You can find all the details for that
HERE! 4 free sentiments just for participating in the Big Extravaganza.
This gives a better view of the Perfect Pearls spritz and a close-up of the rhinestone swirls.
So here is a close up of the 3 Flower Girls. I printed the faces on some W?C paper and colored them with my Copics, Printed two sets so I could cut the hair out and place it over the first layer with dimensionals.
The buttons in the centers of the other flowers are from my stash that I bought at the Button Show last week.
The borders along the bottom and on the right side are by K&Co.
The green fabric flower and feathers are from a barrette that I found at a Farmers market for a dollar.
I love the little bling on the cheek.
I added some tiny pearls and rhinestones to some of the leaves. I hope you get some great ideas to try on your own projects.
I will be entering this in the following challenges:
