I'm So Excited

We Have A Winner! We Have Two Winners!
How exciting is that?

I am so excited. I just went on line a little while ago to check my e-mails and found out that I won the Grand Prize this momth at Serindipity Scrapbooks for the Let Them Eat Cake Contest and The Monthly Kit Contest. That is so cool. I won't be able to enter the monthly Contest for three months now. New rule I think, I won last month too so I think they changed the rules. That's okay but they have really cool prizes so everyone should check out their website. They also have a great selection of products and the owner is really nice. The design team is great also, and the members are very creative.

Anyway I have been very busy the past week. These first photos are of a little book that i'm working on. The pages are just4.5X4.5". I got the idea of doing such little pages from some of the page sketches I was printing off. They looked so cute. I have found that the sketch challenges are a lot of fun. Here are some of the sites that I really like.

Sketches! (byTamara)

Those are just a few but it is a lot of fun

This is my blue dollar journal. I call it that because a bought the journal at the dollar store and then I filled it up with some of my favorite blue and green papers. The journal is ready to record in. The piece of paper on the front is a paper towel and acrylic paint. Pretty cool hu?

Michaels is starting to get Christmas Stuff in already. YEA! I love all this shinny stuff. I made this page layout to go with the my Man page of Logan. These are my little girl stars. The last photo is of a journal cover that I did as a sample for the Journal Class at the Carlton Plaza. Carlton Plaza is a senior resident assisted living place that I teach card making classes. I was really happy with the response to the journal class. I thought I was going to loose the two men at first but we convinced them that they should stay and participate. I will photograph the finished project and explain more next week when we are finished.

This is one of the new On Board alblums from the new StampinUp' catalog. The page size is 8.5X8.5". I'm going to like this one. I used Bo Bunny papers for these 2 pages, I'm not sure what I'll do next. Do i do a general scrapbook or one with a theme. I'm thinking Fall photos. I still have to think on this. I changed the DPI in these photos to accommodate a contest requirement and I don't like the results. The first and 2nd photo here is 300 dpi and the 3rd and 4th and 5th photo are 80 dpi. I don't want to go back and change this now but i'll have to remember this.

George and I went to the Goodwill this morning and I found this cool birdhouse/candleholder for a dollar fourtynine. What a deal. I'm not sure yet what I will do with it but you can bet I'll come up with something. I also picked up these glasses because recently I came across this article in the Somerset Studio magazine Sept./Oct.2007. I'm going to make a bunch of winter faries or something along those lines. I will post them when I finish.

I get so frusterated when I'm adding photos. I can never remember which to start with from one post to the next, I just wrote it down so I'll remember next time. I'm still learning. Anyway, this is my next project. This will be a scrapbook for last Christmas but I came up with this design after seeing all the different chipboard books that are out there. I liked the idea of the packages that I used on the Let Them Eat Cake Contest Page and the Oh Christmas Tree Page I did for The Bo Bunny Paper Piecing Contest so This is what I came up with. I have the cover page and inside cover finished ( the first photo here is inside front cover, 2nd photo is the cover 3rd photo is all the pages spread out and 4th is the book put together. I think this design would be a great one for one of those companys. I'm sure they will come up with the idea sooner than later. If you want this pattern e-mail me at memesackman@yahoo.com. I'll get back to you.

I have a ton of things I want to do so I better pick one and get started. I hope you all have a great week.
