Just Some Fun With Some SU Products

Well the new Stampin Up' Catalogue is out and I can't wait to order new colors and dies and a few other things. So I spent some time last week with the SU Digital Design Studio and I wanted to share what I came up with. So much fun. So I can give you product names but not links but if you have a Stampin Up Demonstrator she can help you. I used the My Digital Studio Express Trial version that you can get right now free for a 30 day trial. I used the Twitterpatted Digital Kit for the Buttons, background paper and the papers on the inside of the card, ant the circle frame. I used the Seriously Awesome Stamp Brush Set and the Flower Garden Digital Stamp for the main image. The ink colors are Melon Mambo and Old Olive.  For the Glitter and glossy areas on the circle stamped piece I made some colored Dazzling Details using a tiny bit of reinker added to an almost empty bottle of Dazzling Details. And then for the Gloss areas I poured out a bit of Crystal Effects and added some re-inker and used a paint brush to daub it on the areas I wanted. Pretty snazzy hu?

 I sprayed a paper doily with the shimmering mist ( Smooch Spray) that I made using melon mambo re-inker, perfect pearls powder and water. With this technique you can have your own mists in any color you like. This is also a good close-up of the water color on the main image. And that is a white uni ball pen on the highlights. I printed the image out, colored it and then cut it out and poped it up with Dimensionals.

 For the background piece I used Glossy White card stock and then using melon mambo ink pad I smooched some on my freezer paper surface, sprayed it with water and layed the card stock face down in the ink and lifted it up. I continued to do that to get the effect I wanted and then I used a sponge to rub on more Melon Mambo here and there and some Old Olive in the white areas. This technique is so cool and you just have to play with it. If it doesn't turn out like you want it ...try again. The buttons were printed onto white cardstock, cut out, the holes were punched with one of the small punches and then I used an embossing tool and foam mat to round the button shape and added Glossy Accents.  Have Fun!

 I also did a piece that uses white card stock that I ran through my Big Shot using the Flower Garden Embossing Folder. I printed the image first and then colored the image using the ink watercolor technique and the sponge and ink for the raised image and then sprinkled water to make the droplets.

I had a lot of fin playing and can't wait for the new In Colors.
